Fall 2026
Personalized support for building safety, efficiency, and adaptability.
About
Our mission
The project of an "atelier", or workshop, was born out of a desire to provide personalized and professional support to owners of residential buildings who wish to carry out construction work responsibly.
As a general contractor, we bring together architects, energy consultants, inspectors, engineers, and specialized contractors around your project, guided by the following principles:
Ensuring the climate resilience of buildings
Reducing energy consumption and the carbon footprint
Promoting the health and safety of residents
Protecting the financial security of homeowners
Areas of focus
Addressing the challenges of today and tomorrow

Building adaptation
Ensure the resilience of buildings against extreme weather events through targeted adaptation measures.

Deep energy retrofits
Improve the building's energy efficiency and comfort through an integrated approach that takes into account the building's specific characteristics, its location, and its operating context.

Upgrades and corrective work
Coordinate the expertise needed to diagnose operational problems and carry out corrective work aimed at ensuring compliance, sustainability, safety, and performance.

Adapation measures against extreme rain
As part of a major renovation project for a duplex, we identified a series of measures designed to protect the home from flooding, backflow, and water infiltration, as well as to improve its resilience against extreme rainfall. A series of measures were implemented to achieve these objectives, including repairing and protecting the foundation, installing a foundation drainage system, regrading the lot, installing retention basins and water collection and pumping systems, and installing backflow prevention devices for the sewer system.

Improving energy efficiency
This project aimed to improve compliance, safety, efficiency, and adaptability across several building components, including the building envelope, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and landscaping. A detailed assessment of needs and objectives, expert evaluations, and a roadmap have guided the various targeted interventions. For example, work completed to date includes the replacement and upgrade of a geothermal system (largely subsidized by Hydro-Québec’s LogisVert program), upgrading the drainage and protection systems for wastewater and groundwater to meet current standards, corrective work in the attic, enhancing building insulation with wood-fiber insulation, and landscaping interventions.

Attic retrofit and performance
This project aimed to assess and correct condensation issues in a conventional attic. Expert evaluations, air-tightness testing, thermal imaging, and rigorous on-site data collection helped establish a clear diagnosis and evaluate remediation options. The corrective work restored the integrity of the building envelope, corrected a design flaw by rerouting the ventilation ducts, and improved the attic’s energy performance using wood-fiber insulation manufactured in Quebec.
